Manna is proud to announce that Bob Engler, one of our board members, received the Spirit of the Community Award from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. Along with the Spirit of the Community Award, Engler has also been awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award in the past to recognize all he does for the Thousand Oaks Community. The Conejo Food and Wine Fest is happening on Sunday, June 29th from 3 to 7 p.m. The event is organized by members of the St. Paschal Baylon Church who love food, wine, beer, and their community. The entire festival is a volunteer effort, and has seen significant growth since its beginning in 2010. All participants and vendors are food and beverage businesses from the local Conejo Valley and Ventura County areas. If you are not familiar with Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, it was formed in 1971 by a group of people who believed no one in Conejo Valley should go hungry. Today, Manna provides food assistance to over 1,400 people per month.
