Come Check out our New Parking Lot!
The holiday season is some of the busiest times at Manna, which is why we are so glad our new parking lot is finished! The new parking lot not only looks great, but it will also help families in the area have an easier time bringing food back to their vehicle. Our old parking lot had not been redone in a number of years so it was very warn and damaged, which made it very difficult to move the hundreds of pounds of donations around. We are so grateful to the local businesses that stepped up to help repair our parking lot. State Ready Mix donated the concrete, Waste Management donated the new dumpster, and Ron Bode, the best cement contractor in the area, did all the pouring and finishing work. We cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who helped make this new parking lot possible. The new smooth surface will help us work more quickly and efficiently than ever before, which will allow us to help even more people in need in the local community. The Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank was founded in 1971 by a group of people who thought that the local community should never go hungry. Today, Manna operates out of a 700 square foot building, allowing us to help more than 1,400 people each month. We are not affiliated with any religious organization and do not get any federal funding, which is why we are so thankful for each and every donation that comes in. Contact us today for any questions you have, or to find out how you can give back to the people in Thousand Oaks and surrounding communities.
