Constant food drive giving year around to help those in need of food
Sometimes people forget that hunger is a sad reality for many people in the Conejo Valley year round - that is 365 days a year not just during the holidays. While the food donations are greatly appreciated during the holidays and will fill the Pantry for several months, the same people are in need of food on a consistent basis. In fact, without a constant influx of food donations, the food collected during the holiday season will only last a few months at the most. Manna serves, on average, roughly 473 people a week that translates to distributing almost 5,000 pounds of food each and every week. Our wonderful communities of the Conejo Valley have already given so much we don’t like to ask anyone to continue giving but we have no choice. So many people from small toddlers to the elderly depend on us for food to survive. Without your help, we would have to turn them away and they would go hungry. Therefore, we bow our heads to you and ask if you could please continue giving food on a consistent basis so all our community members can sit down to a warm and hearty meal with their families. If you would like more information on how to donate food to Manna and help Conejo Valley residents in need, please contact Manna, Conejo Valley Food Bank.
