The 2015 Give Back Game Scores Big for MANNA
The Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Community Give Back Game really scored this year raising over $7000.00 for Manna.  Sponsored by our heroes at Kemp Ford, Union Bank and Wells Fargo, 150 volunteers from all areas of our community worked tirelessly putting together this wonderful six hour event. Manna's new president and Kiwanis club champion Bob Engler and event organizer Cristy Warner kicked off the sixth annual Give Back Game at Thousand Oaks High School. Exhibition basketball games were played by teams from Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Agoura, Moorpark, Oak Park, and Santa Susana High School Key Clubs, boys basketball teams from Newbury Park, Westlake, and Thousand Oaks High along with teams from Wells Fargo, the Ventura Police Department, Ventura County Fire Department, Kiwanis and Rotary Club. The Sparkles cheerleaders provided terrific halftime entertainment and The Key Club bake sale was a big hit with attendees as well as hot dogs and hamburgers from Kiwanis and pizza from Domino's. Many thanks to teams sponsors Cogent Advisors, Dan Roundtree, Wendy Williams, Bartley Physical Therapy, Maid-in-America, Domino's Pizza, and Steve Pollack at State Farm Insurance as well as the 29 other local businesses who donated raffle prizes for the event.  Your generosity is much appreciated. If you're interested in contributing to new year's Give Back Game, stay tuned for more details later in the year.  Thanks!
